Nick and Nora are a mating pair of bald eagles that have chosen Dallas’ White Rock Lake area as their nesting grounds. The pair has been around for 3 years and the area is hoping to have some babies for this couple this year. The first year the pair was in town their nest blew down and the egg was broken so no babies. The city of Dallas is taking care of the nesting area ensuring that the “chuckleheads” don’t get too close by placing fencing 300 feet from the nest. These photos are taken during the time period above. In the ones with the hawks the Nick was chasing the hawks away from the nest and even bumped into the hawk to show he was upset. In a few of the photos you will see that the eagle has a fish in its grasp taking it back to the nest to feed.
